    ****m Richardson - 1 Trick Pony?

Im not for one minute claiming he is, i dont know much about him other than he was the master mind behind Hopkins triumph over Pavlik and Mosley's Annialation of MargaCheato! He was also great in the corner in those fights!

Note tho that Pavlik and Marg while top fighters with power and durability were both tall straight at you slow basic predictable fighters who do the same thing every time out and seem incapable of change. Thats not a diss either they just are.

So does ****m only specialize in defeating this one style, is that were his strategic brilliance ends? Or is there many more tricks left in this guys bag?

Like i said im just curious, i think he looks the goods

Both Hopkins and Mosley's victories are overrated in aspects.

Hopkins beating Pavlik was down to style, Hop is one of the smartest guys in boxing, he doesnt take fights unless he thinks the fight favors him in terms of style. I think he did enough to get the decision over calzaghe, but that one didnt work out for him. Pavlik was made for him, any one who relies on a jab to set up, will have nightmares with a guy like Hopkins, who has good lateral movement and can take it away with a parry-right hand counter.

Margarito probably lost something from the punishment he absorbed against cotto. Then you take into account he has one of the worst defences of anyone considered to be a top fighter and you put him in with a quicker fighter, with better reflexes, better footwork and with good power and people are amazed Mosley beat him.

Im not sure how much those wins were down the greatness of richardson, as they were fights which favored his fighters stylistically.

Even if the trainer is A class, it's still on his fighter to do what's gotta be done in the ring. Richardson is obviously doin some **** right, but SSM deserves the bulk of the cred here.

I wondered exactly the same thing noticing the similarities of both victories. The guy is obviously astute. He's busted open two hand-wrap scandals. A good man to have in your corner.

Incredible, merciless, ferocious performance by Mosley. I've never seen him fight with that kind of fury. And if Bernard is one of the smartest guys in boxing, he wouldn't be flaking out with a dud trainer.
