    Cotto VS Margarito new Gameplan

Cotto in his recent battle with Margarito refused to do a lot of things that later shane mosley implemented on his KO win against Antonio margarito. I have seen in recent interviews Miguel Cotto say that he "isnt the type of fighter who will clinch" and that he likes to maintain a "Clean Fight".

We have now seen how flawed Antonio Margarito is of a fighter. What will Cotto do to win in a rematch?

Does anybody think he will give up his word and end up clinching? or will he maintain teh fight in the middle of the ring? Cotto is a hard fast puncher, will he slow it down to load up more on quality power shots? will he work the body even if it means hitting Antonios arms or elbows?

What will be Miguels gameplan for the june bout? Does anybody think Miguel is done just like Margarito?

I don't think much of Cotto based on how he approached the first fight. He's not good enough to land power punches and move, but he was out there acting like he was a Floyd Mayweather or some ****. I assume he'll try to mimick Mosley's game plan and win an easy decision in the rematch, maybe even KO Margarito. Without those handwraps, I don't think Margarito can hurt anybody anymore. His power went from phenomenal to kaput.

Tie him up on the inside and when he goes to the ropes. Circle as much as possible, keep it in the middle of the ring. Be physical with him, and stand your ground so you have as much power behind your punches as you should.

Basically, do EXACTLY what Shane Mosley did. Cotto has the physical tools to do what Mosley did, I don't think Shane is much stronger or hits that much harder, so if Cotto gets his head out of his ass and fights a smart fight, he should win.

As long as he lands body shots, he might not have to clinch. Mosley clinched a lot, but he's 37 for Christ's sake

Yea, but Cotto doesn't have Mosley's chin. If Cotto gets caught on the ropes, plaster or not, he'll eat a lot of leather. He has to tie him up when he's against the ropes.

I never thought that Miguell was done physically, but I thought that after the margarito beating his psych as a fighter would have been damaged, but after the Mosley fight and the whole plaster debacle I'm sure he has gained some confidence back. The only way to tell is when he rematches Margarito. If the story is true and Margarito's punches don;t have their "usual" thud to them I see Cotto winning a decisions since he doesn't clinch. But if Margarito can hurt Cotto I say Margarito will win a decision or even stop Cotto.

Mosley pretty much never got hit against Margarito, not with anything powerful. I remember he took about 10 good shots the whole fight and that was it. Mosley is a much better mover than Cotto.

Does anybody think Cotto has lost something? It did look evident in Margarito, maybe it was his loss of confidence since his hand wrap plan failed or it couldve been Cottos beating on Margarito but I feel Margarito looked like he was defeated after the first round.

If you watch the Paul Williams fight he looks totally different yet he was still getting ****** hard as the mosley fight.

Does anyone think Cotto might feel a lil repercussion?

Nope. didn't you notice how margarito would come on every time Mosley forgot to clinch? From the far out Margarito can't do much, but at close to medium range the guy can ****. he barely hit Mosley with anything clean, but the few times Mosley chose not to clinch margarito would rally and I gave him the seventh round due to this. If Cotto doesn't clinch I do not see him winning.

I just Hope Cotto goes straight to the plan looking just like Mosley in the ring.
