Why do people criticise fighters for fighting top 10 fighters?

Certain posters on this forum seem to think that fighting top 10 P4P fighters is the basis for criticism and scorn.

Should a fighter ever be criticised for facing top ten P4P fighters or even top 10 divisional fighters no matter what age they are?
