But I think its fair to say toney wasnt the most ardent trainer, he relied more on talent, and his talent is unreal, guy started at 160, the knocks the man in that division clean out, at 22/23 years old.

Toney skill wise is just on another level to some of guys today that people think are all time greats, would love to see Calzaghe move up to heavyweight and stop holyfield

Toney needed steroids to compete at heavyweight. Defeating old, shot Holyfield was no achievement - journeyman Larry Donald, who lost every round against Povetkin, did the same.

And Jirov was far from a great fighter. Has anyone else noticed how Toney avoided JC Gomez at cruiserweight?

no......... roy jones was on another level.... james toney is overrated and un-discipline.... he cant beat the top level fighters at these classes........ hes just there....

on top of that, i hate figters that are so un dedicated that they dont train (ex chris arreola, james toney) there is no reason to be fat with all of the hard work and exercise that this sport requires
