Without 'competition', you have a monopoly on your hands. And when that's the case, you get higher prices with a dip in the product.

Point being, competition is good for everyone.

I'm not sure I know what you mean. In any event, the more competition, the better.

Boxing, within itself, has no competition. A lot of promoters have this sort of unwritten rule where they don't put their big money-making shows on at the same time. They stay AWAY from the competition. When it happens, they actually are SURPRISED, as appossed to inspired to try and put on a better show. Something like MMA CAN and HAS been a very good thing.

wat i mean is boxing is a competitve sport between fighters and that if the sport itself is in competion with another sport it would just make it giid from the point of view saying we will get good fights but also bad meaning shouldnt we be able to do this already

so the competition is a good and bad thing in retro spect we need to wake up to ourselves and make good fights without being pressured by the UFC

For those who say that ufc/mma is nothing but a bunch of unskilled bar room brawlers, i suggest u tune in this Saturday to watch 2 of the most skilled mma artists in the world. George St. Pierre vs BJ Penn. I guarantee u will change your perspective on the sport.

I'd never say that, but I still wont tune in.
