I would take Captain Vander on any day.
He was simply an amazing fighter in his pre-heavy days(not that he was not at heavy either), quick, knew how to do it all and do it very well.

I ain't saying he would outspeed Roy, but he was fast enough to cut corners, throw 6 punch combos and generally be a big pain in the ass at countering his opponents. Had a great workrate, iron chin and great stamina too.
