    Rewatched the marg-mosley fight...

when i was watching it i was looking at how mosley hit marg compared to how cotto did.

it seemed like when mosley hit marg he loaded up on all of his power punches allowing him to just take marg's head off while cotto threw crisp combos that landed and definetly did damage but they werent bombs like mosley.

There were a couple times when mosley would completely throw his whole weight into his punches like that uppercut in the series of punches that put marg down.

Maybe this will help cotto in the rematch, even though shane is quicker and is able to pull something like this off

The big difference was that Mosley wasn't worrying about what was coming back at him.

Cotto did land some massive full forced shots but not nearly as consistently as Mosley did and Cotto didn't wear Margarito down by going to the body.

You're right. Mosley wasn't worried about Margarito's power, maybe that's what Cotto needs to do. Margarito is not what I would consider a power puncher. He does have knockout power, but not the type of one punch power a guy like Mosley has. Cotto needs to know that and pressure him from the start. The whole thing with Margarito is momentum. If you allow Margs to gain momentum in a fight, it's hard to turn the tide.

I left out the the thought that Margs might have plastered his hands for Cotto. If it turns out that is true or not, Cotto needs to change his fight plan.

Plus, Mosely softened Margo up by beating the body. That's something Cotto should have done from the get-go.

But Mosely definately threw shots that he leaned in with his whole body. I ain't never seen Mosely fight like that. He looked angry during that fight. Not the usual friendly Mosely.
