For the most part I don't see this as a Puerto Rican thing, and to be fair if it was any other fighter it would receive the same response from me. Any one caught cheating even if only once, the alleged is the only one to blame for casting doubt over his or her own career. The fans are not to blame for discrediting the person caught attempting to do wrong. If it was Cotto, Berto, Clottey or any other top WW or fighter for that matter I personally would not be interested in seeing that person in the ring ever again. Ultimately this is a Cotto fan thing. Hell, it's a boxing fan thing.

you got it. cotto stans are still bitter toward margarito, they for one, are loving all this, but are covering it up by saying "they are fans of the sport" blahzay blahzay "i dont want the sport to suffer" etc. etc.

If Margarito gets found guilty of loaded gloves in Cali...that he more then likley did it in Vegas for the Cotto fight...Cause thats kinda the feeling i'm getting and I really don't get why....

If he is found to be a cheater ...and thats a big IF...Why would he not have done it in the biggest fight of his life...I mean if youre going to be a cheater wouldnt you cheat BIG...why reach the top of the heap and start cheating only then...It would be like earning millions of dollars in a legit bussines and only then start robbing dollar stores...seems pretty asinine to me...But what do i know...I'm a ****ing IDIOT.

Logic would tell you that a fighter would cheat for a bigger fight against a prime undefeated champ and not suddenly start when you're facing a 37-year old who's a 4-1 underdog.

Just to be the Devil's Advocate, it's possible that Margarito's trainer saw some slippage in camp and decided that they would try to gain an edge in this fight. It's not as if Margarito is a young 30. Or, maybe Margarito got a little too comfortable with his success and partied and ate too much and wasn't in the best of shape. Then they tried to make up for this by pulling this ****.
