Video of Billy Collins postfight plaster of paris beatdown...

Not sure if anyone saw this. Frightening stuff. Poor kid lost most of his vision and died later on in a car accident 9 months later. And the entire story is exactly like Cotto-Margarito. Undefeated fighter facing a guy with 5-6 losses and dude with the losses goes in with the cement to guarantee a victory.
Seems like they wanted to see his gloves but he left the arena before they could remove them.

The big deal here was that the padding from the gloves had been taken off.

It was not until 2007 that Resto admitted that the handwraps were also plastered.

It was both. It was padding at first then after the jail sentences he admitted about soaking his hands on a plaster of paris.

Resto had done this in other fights as well. Collins just had too much heart for his own good and refused to go down.
