Hugo Garay has looked very impressive recently, I think he could beat almost any of the top light heavyweight champs maybe excluding Dawson.

simple question who is the most underrated champ today?

list the fighter and a couple of reasons why you think he deserves to be rated higher than he currently is?

chris john? clottey? nate campbell?

personally i think its clottey - maybe its the fact that he fights in a division that has much bigger names. the likes of DLH and money mayweather have been the central focus of the media and fans. recently fighters like sugar shane, cotto and marg have commanded the attention.

its a shame that a quality fighter like him couldn't get one of the networks to air clottey vs cintron. clottey has a good defense, hits hard is very strong and tough as well. not only do i think he is underrated/overlooked i think he is often avoided.

There aren't many under-rated or overlooked champions. I think the three you named are about the only champs who could even be considered anything resembling under-rated or overlooked. But even they are going to be/have been on HBO soon/recently. There's no bigger stage than HBO. So, I mean how overlooked are they really?

Calderon is pretty much overlooked as he fights at such a low weight and doesn't have any punching power. Clottey is up there aswell, hes tough as **** and can box to match.
