They wanted it to be in an outdoor stadium, and because of the UK climate, that meant it couldn't be earlier than June.

Shouldn't this guy Haye fight some lower tier heavyweights before he take a shot at Klitscho? I mean if he gets ***ed up real bad, he's going to have a tough time building his rep back up.

He's a gambler, that's his nature. If he gets beaten badly, he'll retire.

If i were Hayes promoter i would set him up with lesser opponent maybe some top 10 or famous names first to get his name some attention.

i would set him up with the likes of Rahman, Toney or Tony Thompson and then set him up with a tuneup fight so people start to know the guy.

His style is excting to watch so hes going to get some attention.

The when hes had a couple of HBO or Showtime fights then bring out the PPV extravaganza Vitali or Wladimir vs. Haye.

            But now think about this.

            A) He faces Wladimir and lets say he gets KO. Then hes never heard from again (by the way this is for the American public im refering to).
            or
            B) He beats Wlad and the only ones who saw the fight were the already Boxing established fans. Plus the fight wont even be on PPV cause Haye is not even known over here to the casual fan

I as the a promoter would set Haye up vs. James Toney here in the USA on HBO on April then set up with Tony Thompson or Lamont Brewster in August in another HBO fight.
Then Finally the PPV showdown vs. Wlad
Haye promotes himself. The fight will get a very large European audience, and it should get a good US audience on HBO, because it won't be PPV. Haye is a gambler by nature and is betting everything on being able to win. If he loses he'll probably retire.

Ah damn then hes done then. It will have a good audience here but only among boxing fans.

This fight could possibly be 90's Heavyweight numbers if it were further down the line i think

Wembley's bigger. Not sure where Mark Vesper got the 100,000 figure - the official capacity of Stamford Bridge is 42,500 seats. The article in The Sun doesn't mention the capacity.

I'd have thought it depends how well HBO promote it? "Breath of Fresh Air for the Heavyweight Division" ... very good looking, very charismatic heavyweight who can punch and is blindingly fast, but is also vulnerable. I'd have thought there are enough angles for HBO to be able to get a crossover audience if they put their minds to it. In any case, if he does beat Wlad, then selling Vitali's revenge fight against Haye would be a cinch. If he loses to Wlad, well he'll just feel that it was worth the gamble, I think. He's an all or nothing man, which I respect.

I dont know i really like my plan lol but i dont see anybody beating that monster.

another guys is Arreola, i hope they set him up with a few opponents on HBO before he faces the Klitchkos. Hes also excting.

Im just thinking how to improve boxing and bring more attention to it.
