Take out the illegal plastered padding allegations and I still have respect for Margarito for not calling it quits. He did all he could but it wasn't enough. However, his fan base on boxingscene went from 10,000 to 1 overnight. Regardless of the allegations which aren't proven, it shows the people who claimed they were "true fans' were only supporting him because of the Cotto win in which case they weren't really fans to begin with. Maybe he was more style than he was substance but he gave it all he could. If the plastered padded gloves allegations are true, then I lost a lot of respect for him but that doesn't mean he has any less heart than he does...
