No I just think Shane and his trainer came up with the perfect game plan to beat margarito and shane executed it to perfection. If you recall shane went on attack from the opening bell, very similar to what Hopkins did against Pavlik, who is another pressure fighter. Shane was beating margarito to the punch every single time and would never allow margarito to get into any kind of groove, by both beating him to the punch and clinching after landing shots. It was a masterful performance one that I'm sure margarito did not see coming.
Margarito Shot????

Bruv no disrespect theres 2 other posters besides myself who have postedWow the majority of you people who claim a boxer is shot no absolutely nothing about boxing. Seriously, NSB is fun but it's getting a bit frustrating with some of you. A fighter loses his last match and he's shot? Am I the only Mosley fan who is not bashing Margarito. Give the guy a chance. Even though I believe he willingly used an illegal plastered padded gloves, it's not confirmed or proven. Some of you guys are the same people who argued Mosley and Hopkins were shot only to be proven wrong after they beat Pavlik and Margarito respectively. Not everyone who loses their last fight is shot...
and your saying some of you lot are the same people who argued mosley and hopkins were etc etc..
I can assure you and you can trail my posts if you want mate
that i have never said anything along those lines.
I didnt even say Marg was shot did i?
I simply said the Mullet and the Loaded gloves allegations are his downfallComment

No I didn't really mean to address you. I was just saying in general and to the thread starter. If it seemed like it was to you then I apologize. No hard feelings. But I usually quote someone if I want to direct it strictly at them or else I'll just say it in general. It's just I don't understand how some think he's shot after one fight...if that's the case then anyone who loses by KO is shot. I don't believe that true though...Bruv no disrespect theres 2 other posters besides myself who have posted

I don't really get what this whole guys chin is cracked talk is. Who wouldn't have gotten stopped with Mosley dropping wind up hurting bombs square behind his ear and on his chin. He's a bit exposed but that's about it.Comment

I think all the big, flush punches hes taken in fights against Cintron, Clottey, Williams, COTTO, and now with the huge punches with Mosley, have caught up with him. You can't take punches like that and still move on and upward. It starts to wear on you. Look at Muhammid Ali, Freddie Roach, Arturo Gatti (who used to go to war with people, but finally ended his career when he was KTFO by Gomez) or anyone who has just had a long career where they have been hit a lot. It hurts you over time.
Margarito is 30 now, which isn't very old at all, but he has taken LOTS of devastating punches that would have knocked out almost any other fighter. I don't think he can take punches like that anymore, and I would say that his career will be downhill from here. But thats not to say he won't still be a competitive fighter for a few years (unless he did actually use plaster of paris and can't knock people out without that ****). If that's the case, yea he's done.
I expect Cotto to win a rematch via knockout.Comment
