Good post. The #1 thing wrong with boxing fans is that they completely write a fighter off after a close loss.

DLH is shot post Mayweather.
Hopkins is shot post Calzaghe.
Mosley is shot post Cotto.

Cheers, I agree on all those examples, and it applies so often. It's odd because I think the mood and views spread and influence others to be similar. When in-fact if you didn't read any news or forums, anything boxing for months, then watched some of those guys fights, you probably wouldn't put Hopkins, Shane and say Holyfield, underdogs to quite the extent they were seen as.

I'm annoyed with myself I didn't predict Hopkins better, you could see him hammering at Pavliks style given Tarver was only a couple of years earlier, he was damn right to speak out on forgetting his capabilities time and time again.

Guys who where talking **** about Mosley getting "pounded", being past it and crackin' jokes about the Balco incident are now riding Mosley's nuts and acting like they knew & thought this would happen all along.

I was rooting for Tony until......
I heard HBO announce that Tony was caught trying to load up his wraps with plaster, then it became clear to me that Mosley would beat the crap out of Tony because Tony no longer had his casts that took out Cintron and Cotto. Notice how Tony was never able to hurt Mosley? I wonder why that is. No, I don't wonder at all anymore, it's called plaster of PEREZ.

1/2 this board is weak nutpotatoes. Who just go with the hype of these fighters and don't look at skills. I'm not gon hate on Margarito no more. Dude got mad heart...he just don't got the skills. I ain't no big fan of Mosley either. He punched too much with his eyes close and tose looping hooks ain't wassup. But I did pick him over Cotto, Mayorga, and Margarito. Maybe this board will quit sack riding and actaully look at body of work and consistency instead of these overnight sensations.
