You're not going to get any respect posting such biased posts. Mayweather had a right to retire, and he retired before a planned mega-money rematch with DLH - and he certainly wasn't scared of DLH. If his motive had been as you say, he'd have waited until after the DLH rematch. And all boxing experts rated him as the P4P no.1, so while you're entitled to your opinion, you just come across as ignorant when you dismiss him like that.
Mayweather-Mosley: Fight Talks To Begin Shortly

its gonna be good speculation but it will never happen, if pacquiao beats hatton, theres more money in a pac fight than a mosley fight and mayweather clearly just fights for money, he doesnt care about beating the best fighters, he made that perfectly clear by avoiding cotto, clottey, margarito, mosley and basically everyone at 147 to fight a 140-pounder in hatton and a old de la hoya.
personally i would love to see floyd and shane, the speed, the power that fight would be crazy, but you have to take into account floyd's personality, hes gonna ask for an outrageous amount of money and mosley is gonna move on.Comment

It's kind of lame how Mayweather didn't fight Cotto when he was on top (after he beat Mosley) or Margarito after he KO'd Cotto, but...
Him beating Mosley here would erase a lot of that IMO.
The same way he probably SHOULD have fought Freitas and Casamayor at some point, but... since he beat Castillo and Corrales, who ended up being the class of that foursome, a lot of that went away.Comment

Shane Mosley crashed his way to the top of the welterweight ranks when he knocked out Antonio Margarito to capture the WBA welterweight title before a jam-packed crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The next fight for Mosley is already being worked on, and Golden Boy Promotions is set to begin talks with the camp of Floyd Mayweather Jr. [details]Comment

I hope so... would be a good fight to see, then the winner of that fight could get the winner of Pacquiao vs Hatton... which would make 3 really good fights if Pacquiao wins.
I am not going to get my hopes up though...Comment
