How many wins for P4P status?

How many quality wins against top ranked opponents do you think a figher should have before he's put on a P4P top 10 list? Too many times I've seen fighers either shoot up on the ratings after one big win or fall off the list after one loss.

After a big win, magazines, sites and forums all go crazy over someone who becomes the flavor of the month/year, then all of the sudden he's forgotten after one or two losses. Even when those losses were close.

Guys like Pacman, Kosta, Tarver, Spinks, and others have launched in status after one big win, while good solid fighers like Corrales, Mosely, DLH and others have struggled to stay on the list. Does a respectable loss to a quality opponent justify dropping a guy off the list?

Me personally, I like to see a fighter continually prove himself against quality opposition before I start praising him as the next best thing.

You beat the best P4P in the division, you earn a right to be in that list automatically. My own opinion, of course.

      This is a hard question.
I think a few wins over quality (top 10) fighters should see someone on the list, particularly if he holds a belt.
