No. The idea that anyone can guess that someone is using illegal wraps and then decide not to fight him based on this is ludicrous. Face it -- Floyd was scared of Margarito. Why is this so hard to accept? All fighters would rather not face a certain other fighter, I don't care who they are, there is always someone out there who could cause them problems, and they know it.

If you really think a C class Mexican hype job like Margarito could cause problems for Floyd you don't know a lot about boxing. But then again I bet you were probably convinced that Diego would cause problems for Floyd. The fact is Floyd took harder fights against more accomplished fighters like Oscar & Hatton which further cemented his legacy.
