In general terms, though, this 'holding' thing is complete bollocks. Of course it's 'boxing', and all fighters do it.. it just suits some styles better than others, and so some do it more than others. Headbutts are not boxing, but the number that are deliberate rather than accidental is actually very small. Such clashes occur more frequently when one fighter likes to work close in, but such choices are usually determined by the physique of the fighters, particularly height and reach not whether one fighter is a 'warrior' and the other a 'coward'. If you are 8 inches taller than the other guy and with a big reach advantage it's dumb to fight close up.. you try and keep him at distance where you can hurt him and not the other way around. Likewise, if you are the shorter guy your aim is to stop that happening.
