Then here yall come talkin that cotto mess, i said cotto is not a skilled BOXER, in terms of speed, slickness, ability to punch from angels (cotto style is more robotic, walk u down and try to wear u out)

I could see this coming from a mile away.... I used the clottey fight as refference....

I aagree, cotto is not a skilled BOXER. He is great at chassing you and betting you down. Basicly what margarito did to him was use his own style against him of hunting a person down.

Cotto's defence and boxing ability has improved greatly over the last few years, hes no Ali but he has become a pretty versatile fighter.

I don't agree with Hamed, he relied solely on his reflexes and power to win fights and technically did everything wrong, he was always off balance and his punches were extremely unorthadox.

I think Cotto actually fits in to that list if you only count say his last ... 3 fights? I think if they were the only fights you saw of him you would call him a boxer/puncher.

Whereas looking at his whole career its hard not to call him a brawler/puncher as that has usually been his style of fighting, Its kinda like a reputation he has hanging over him whilst trying to improve his style and slickness.

It takes some people a while to realize that a highly skilled boxer can beat a brawler all night long.

Many are starting to re-think their criticisms against Floyd after last night's fiasco.

That doesn't explain how Cotto was outboxing Mosley in the last rounds of their fight. Cotto could definitely have beaten Margarito, he just didn't on that night.

It's too bad Mayweather never fought Margarito. I always thought that Mayweather would beat the piss out of Tony. I don't think he would have stopped him like Mosley did but he would have made him look bad and beat the piss out of him.

Mosley played it right. Tony had just come off a really tough fight with Cotto and Mosley went in for the kill. Margarito seemed to have the most trouble with Shane's speed.

Miguel Cotto is a skilled boxer and he is slick, he was just to small, Mosley was bigger than Margarito. Antonio should not go to 154, he should stay @ 147 where he could take the punches.
