Miguel Cotto: "If Manny Pacquiao is Looking to Fight a Big Name, I'm Available"

Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Andre Berto and now Sugar Shane calls out Manny Pacquiao

"If Manny Pacquiao is looking to fight a big name, I'm available," Cotto said to BoxingScene.com.

"Andre would sign to fight Pacquiao tomorrow, provided that Manny beats Hatton in May." Andre Berto promoter said.

"If he and the promoters agree, and want to do it - I will gladly do it," Margarito said to Mexican daily El Nuevo Dia.

"He's a good fighter... but I'll beat his ass," Floyd Mayweather Jr. said, "Let them put me at 147 and give me eight ounce gloves."

Sugar Shane Mosley said he wants to fight Pacquiao or Cotto at the end of ESPN interview.

Why do you think they're calling out Pacquiao? Is it for the money or legacy?

It's a dream fight for Cotto, huge rewards and an opponent who he will get huge kudos for beating despite the fact that, unless Manny is actually superhuman, he really ought to do so comfortably. His own stock has just gone up (not that it needed to) now that a huge doubt has now arisen regarding his loss to Margarito, who is now out of the picture, of course. Pacquiao is a great fighter, but I think Hatton will edge him at 140, let alone Cotto (or Mayweather, or now Mosley) at 147. All are very different kettles of fish from DLH, or at least the DLH Pacquiao beat.

Mostly because they think Pacquiao will beat him, I suspect. But every f**cker from lightweight to welterweight will be calling out Hatton if he wins - and none of this 52-48 crap either.

Al Coholic is right though, never say never and all but Hatton himself has said he is uncomfortable at 147, was lucky to beat Collazo, and probably won't fight there again; he's smart enough to know his own limitations. He'd fight Mayweather again if given the chance to avenge his only loss but that's about all.
