Round 9: Mosley stops Margarito! Mosley looked to finish off where he left off in the last round and a left hook backed Margarito back onto the ropes. He followed this with another right cross, left hook, right cross. As Margarito wilted on the ropes, the referee hesitated and a further right hand led the referee to dive in, just as Margarito fell to the canvas again.

Round 8: Margarito down! For the first two minutes of the round it was the Mexican's best round of the fight landing with straight rights of his own but Mosley began landing with right hands again before rocking Margarito on the ropes with a left hook. Three follow up right hands dropped the Mexican to the canvas.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 8.

Round 7: Still a perfect score for Mosley but there is less coming from now, though he still is providing all the quality shots in the fight at present landing with two superb right hands in quick succession and a left hook also.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9.

Round 6: This could be the best performance of Mosley's career. Midway through the round he seemed to be tiring, but then backed up Margarito to the ropes and landed with three picture perfect right hands. The usual indominitable Margarito looks shell-shocked.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9.

Round 5: A slightly better round for Margarito as he got in close with some good body punches and left hooks, but a flush left hook then right cross at the end edges it for Mosley again. A fantastic performance from Sugar so far.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9.

Round 4: Same story again. Mosley at one point landed a five punch combination. Margarito failing to close the gap. Mosley boxing on the back foot catching him at will with his jab and his follow up right hands.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9.

Round 3: Fantastic fight. Margarito landed with a big uppercut midway through the round and one wondered whether that might be a turning point. It was not. Mosley is catching Margarito with his right hand at will, landing flush with it at least five times. Of course the Mexican champion did not flinch once.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9.

Round 2: Is this going to be another Hopkins-Pavlik? Mosley finding it easy to get through with a double jab and following it up with further straight combinations.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9

Round 1: Good round for Mosley. Any fears that Margarito would just walk through him prove unfounded. Mosley lands with the more stylish shots edging the round.
    Mosley 10 Margarito 9.

I would say Margarito-Mosley. Margarito didnt move up a weight class and a half, to fight someone much bigger then him. To only lose a UD.

Margarito got pushed around, nailed, cut and KTFO.

They're pretty even but I would give the edge to Mosley over Margarito only because Margarito has no excuses for the loss, Pavlik had the elbow problem, he had a pretty bad case of bronchitis and was moving up in weight, Margarito doesn't have any excuses.

Oh yeah but he dont often press for it does he.

Mosley gets the nod from me, i actually predicted the Hopkins fight.

Marg was better than Pavlik IMO and was at his natural weight plus Shane got the KO

Edge to Mosley/Margarito due to the exciting, and conclusive, finish. No one ever expected Margarito to be stopped by anyone at 147.

Well he did every single thing right he could have didnt he? Said he was in complete control from start to finish. Didnt even get a single knock down.
Im not trying to take anything away from Hopkins but him KOing Pavlik is just out of the question.
