That's the thing. It DOES greatly effect the outcome of a fight. When you get hit by something harder than you're used to you first say WTF was I hit with? The difference is the stiffness and it is harder. Its like you using 16 oz. sparring gloves and your opponent wearing 10 oz bag gloves. It might even be a weak jab.
