It's not so much his ability to take flush punches, but those fast punches he doesn't see coming from over the top hurts him the most. Mosley's overhand right was so fast he never saw it coming and it kept hitting his temple and then his chin. Double the damage.

Mayweather's right hand and lefft hook would have killed him. Jesus.

like i mentioned in other threads, his chin will still be very good, but it wont take the kind of abuse that cotto gave it or the kind that mosley dished out for 8 rounds tonight, he needs to develop better defence if he wants to remain relevant at the elite level

I disagree. I think his brain has been raddles. He's been taking punches for living for a decade now but he never got hurt. Now that he got hurt it won't be the same again. He may not become punch drunk but his hard chin is gone imo.

I know that, hence why his chin will never be the same again. Some of you are forgetting that Margarito is a human being and can get his brains scrambled just like anybody else. We all forgot that because of the amount of punches he has taken and never got hurt.

Everything changed tonight. I don't think he has his hard chin to rely on anymore as he did before. Once the equilibrium gets raddled like that, things don't go back to the same again.

I think Tonys invulnerability to take numerous punches to the head has come to an end. This could be because he's been receiving punishment for a long time now, and could also be simply because Mosley was just too skillfull for him. Too much speed and power, Marg just stands there like a lamp post with zero head movement.
