Credit to ****m Richardson for always being on his game catching Trinidad before the Hopkins fight now Margarito before the Mosley fight resulting in wins for his fighter. Cotto should now face Mosley again and disregard Margarito as Cotto can now say he literally did not know what hit him when facing Margarito. Mosley by KO was never even a consideration for most people , good win Mosley as he will proably face Berto and Cotto this year and the division should have a unified Champ by the end of 09.
    cotto wants vindication.

shane tied margarito up....but he also "smothered" margarito on the inside taking away any space margarito needed to get off on the inside....

Anyway, Margarito will never be the same fighter again. His career was likely permanently damaged by this devastating knockout loss. Mosley definitely goes down as a first ballot hall of famer with this win.

He may remain as a "name" opponent, but as a fighter I think Mosley may have done him in. It's too bad too, cuz I was rooting for Tony...
i wasn't. now he'll be begging PW for the rematch.....

Cong**** to Mosley and his faithful fans. Tabbed Margarito due to their last 2 bouts. Not surprised Mosley won, never counted him out, but I'm in awe of the way he took it. That was amazing!

Wow. What a performance. Not only did he control the fight but he man handled Marg all over the ring. You're an amazing boxer Shane. All the credit to you. Styles make fights and Shane customized *the* perfect style to KO Margarito. Still was shocked to see Marg go down at the time but when you look at the replays of the knockdowns you can see how sat down and concentrated Shane was on his left hooks. He wasn't trying to win on points tonight. I wonder if he bottled up all the rage from this personal life issues and used them to fight with.

          Cong**** Sugar Shane!

I liked Margarito, though like what I always do... I root for underdogs.
Back when DLH-Mosley fought the first time, I picked Mosley to win all because of his speed. I liked DLH but started losing respect to DLH because of his excuses. I picked Mosley again over DLH for the rematch.

I picked Mosley over Margarito. I shout in joy and with surprise every time Mosley lands a power punch. It was like a blind trust, I picked Mosley without any idea how he will prevail against Margarito other than his speed. The power was a surprise.

The last time I was surprised like this was when Holyfield defeated Tyson on their first fight. But never like this. I did not expect Mosley to knock Margarito... I didn't even gave 1% of that idea.

What a great start for 2009 boxing. Can we just pick this fight as "Fight of the Year"?

Rightfully so, Margs career was really made off one fight (cotto) so one fight should destroy his hyped career..LMAO..

I thought it was possible for Shane to win a decision, but a knockout - WOW!!!

Shane and ****m make a good team. It will be interesting to see what Shane does next now, many props to him!

Daaam so much for been the most ducked boxer in the business *lol* Now we see he should have been lucky that he was ''ducked'' all the time or he would have gotten that beating already years ago.

I really got to blame it on Arum. A promoter must know what he got. He works with him and shouldn't get caught up in his own hype job. I personally thought that Margarito would win because I thought that his determination, heart and chin was something special... so special that it could overcome skill (and a 37 year old). That's what they make me believe... if you would go straight on facts... facts based on skill without heart and everything you have to say that Shane Mosley is the last guy a boxer like Margarito should fight with the exception he has something special to overcome it... Mosley had a nice game plan and really sticked to it... I ain't thought that he could do it... even with 37 he showed how less skilled Margarito really is... that's the reason why I never put him on top the welter weights... he's to less skilled...

It seems to be something with ****m and his teacher (Mr. Fisher). They seem to be one of the few who know how to wrap hands and more importantly they realise if somebody wraps them wrong. They realised it with Trinidad, now here again... what are these other coaches doing??? I think and it's the same with Mosley... I hate cheaters... especially in boxing. If you cheat in other sports you're cheating you opponents by time or whatever... but by boxing your cheating can really do direct damage to somebody else. So I guess a cheater beat a cheater yesterday. At least both have been cheatless in this fight I guess...

Yeah, I mean you can never say who takes more damage... but I personally felt that Cotto wasn't the one who got a bigger beating that night. It looked like that through the blood. But Cotto was mentally beaten IMO. He wasn't hurt that bad... he wasn't ko'd bad... he simply expected that his punches hurt Marga and put him at bay. It ain't happened + broken nose takes a toll on you and a guy like Cotto was simply unaware of something like that. It never happened to him. Margarito if you look took some hard punches. And you could very well see it... after the fight his eyes were swollen in. It looked like his eyes rolled a bit back in to his head. He took some bad shots from Cotto. But I guess every chin breaks sooner or later

                      MARGARITO A.K.A the CHEATER

Wonder it the "hands of stone" where present when Margarito broke Cotto's nose in the 2nd round. Cong**** to Sugar Shane, but also big ups to Richardson. The man knows his boxing. Great game plan for this fight and Pavlik/Hopkins fight but also paying attention to every aspect and catching the cheating that "Cheatin Chicano" was trying to get away with. Cotto should go right after margarito and knock his azz out for cheatin, plus cotto should hire richardson to train him.......to ALL THE MARGARITO LOVERS OUT THERE R.I.P....YOUR MANS A FAkE.... THERE A NEW CHAMP IN TOWN......
