It is not idiotic at all. Manny plays the role of a humble good christian who can do no wrong, WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS BS, and he gains fans because he appears to be a role model who had to fight through the hardships of life and came on top. A real Rocky story which everyone can relate to. This leads him to more fans. More fans = more money.. It's what nearly every celebrity has always done.

I dont know what point you are attempting to make, I think Pacquiao is fake. Does that change the fact whether I am a fan of him or not? No, what made me not be a Pac fan is when he turned down a drug test, that is BOXING related. Is he fake, sure I think so. Pacquiao can spit in Lebron James face(a guy I hate) and I still wouldn't be fan of his, because it has nothing to do with the ring. It would be HILARIOUS, and I would probably think higher of Pacquiao, but I still wouldn't be a fan of his. Margarito could punch Nikki Minaj in the face, That would be awesome, still not a fan of his. If you really wanna dig up some posts you can find where I have made fun of Floyd for his ********, and him getting ****d in prison, but that doesn't change what he does in the ring. All scandals put aside, he was a very entertaining fighter that fought his ass off in all of his fights. It sucks that he went out with so many losses towards the end of his career.
