Margarito, Illegal Wraps Caught Before Mosley Loss

Margs a cheater.... he more than likely cheated Cotto, and got caught and exposed by a greater fighter

He should be severely punished. I don't want to hear Larry ask him about his next fight. I want him sued and suspended.

its funny how everyone is ASSUMING he did the same for cotto......

cotto didn't fight a smart fight, took too much punishment....that kind of thinking takes away from mosley's performance....

he beat margarito to the punch, actually had margarito against the ropes, tied up when he had to (which is something cotto doesn't).

mosley fought great against margarito.....

margarito walked through cotto's best ****, which has nothing to do w/ wrapping of hands....gtfoh w/ that bull****, and give ssm his due.....

Whos to say he could have done all that if Margarito did cheat? Margarito did land punches in this fight and if he had used that handwrap **** he probably could have made it a close fight

To try to cheat in such a careless and dangerous way is a disgrace. Someone must be punished for it(if not Margarito than definitely his cornermen).
But just because he tried it in this fight doesn't mean he did it against Cotto. I always thought it was common practice for a member of one camp to be in the room while the opponent's hands were wrapped, surely this means either Cotto's people either didn't notice, or there was nothing to notice because it didn't happen that time.
Also, doesn't the guy doing the wrapping have to sign the wraps personally? So, it would have been found out eventually anyways.

This all sounds so familiar, a reminiscent of the Trinidad handwrapp situation before the Hopkins fight. I believe it was Bouie Fisher or ****m Richardson who caught that back in 01. You have to have great cornermen watching your back and the swith to ****m worked wonders for Shane for this fight. Most of the time when people get caught cheating it is seldomly the only time they have cheated, they just got caught that time. I believe Cotto will never be the same after his beating he took from Margarito and its a shame that he will never be the same because of illegal handwraps!

It was fisher. What happend with Tito is that they puted more tape instead of gauze or viceversa. margarito had pretty munch a cast in his gloves!!!!!

Tbh it doesn't look good, if he can destroy Cotto fairly then why would he need to resort to cheating for a fight everyone expected him to stroll through?

I thought it was Naazim Richardson who noticed Margarito's illegal wraps? Remember how Naazim noticed Tito's illegal wraps before the HOpkins fight? Richardson is great for the sport.

Fuck Margarito and anybody on here who tries to defend him for this ****.

"Illegal wraps" and inserting a plastic object in the wraps are VERY different scenarios. And it wasn't him who noticed that, get it right.
