I did not think of the career aspect for Cotto. He could have been seriously injured. Remember David Reid when he has his eye injured, he never recovered. Guys would fight him, work that eye and for the remainder of his fights he could not see out of it and was forced to retire. Now he wasn't hurt by cheating but I just wanted to put it in perspective.

Let's say Cotto had his head injured, eye injured or something else more serious. Could ruin his life, let alone his career and ability to earn a living.
