There wasn't anything "Legitimate" about Zelenoff getting hit one time and spitting his mouth piece out 3 times. If that earns your respect that you don't ask for much.

I'm pretty sure most people would get in the ring if they knew they could just quit later in the same round without actually boxing. That's not what a boxer is....that's a ****wad who is half-******ed pullin' everyone's chain.

Well, everyone one has a time in life where they needed to step up and for some unexplainable reason blew it... then later thought... damn what happened to me today? Maybe not in a boxing ring, but we all can relate to losing heart or giving up on something.

Hell, look at Duran... the infamous "No Mas"

Zelenoff has the opportunity to make a believer out of us all.. I'm backing you Z!

You just compared Zelenoff to Duran. Kill yourself.

I simply dont think its right to judge someone on how they did in something if youve never done it yourself.

and boxing is made up of more than world champs and contenders. this almost sounds like a joke, but Im being serious. without the lower level guys, the journeyman and worse wouldnt be able to get any wins or even enough fights to support themselves, and then the top guys wouldnt have anyone to beat to be distinguished because there would be no journeyman for them to beat either..
big things are made up of lots of little things, and these guys are part of boxing too, believe it or not.

and you can say what you want, but I think most people on here would never show their face again if they had that kind of an outcome in a fight. they would just give up. hell, most people on here will leave just because they were wrong in a prediction or something, even though it doesnt matter whatsoever since were all just anonymous people on the internet.

haha... no I compared ALL of us to Duran. I'm just saying, everyone has had a time when they just lost heart and gave up... afterwards we are baffled at why we did...

Hell, it could have been asking a girl out in jr. high, trying out for a talent show, ****ting in a neighbors mailbox... I don't know, use your imagination, but everyone knows what its like to finally get into the spotlight for our big "something" and blowing it.

                I see what your saying.

But my point is when you make yourself out to be a joke, train like a joke, then conduct yourself like a joke rather than a fighter come fight night, does that make you a fighter? Because you just hopped in the ring?

He gives a bad name to people who train seriously and care enough to take the sport seriously. I have no respect for those kind of people.

Someone like Hartley on the other hand, I can respect because he tries. I think whoever decided he told him to fight professionally should be shot. But he's not there trying to flat-out make a joke of himself and the sport. Just a very un-talented, un-athletic fighter. But a fighter none the less

Yeah, even though Duran quit after 8 rounds with Ray Leonard he would quit in the first round no question if he got hit by Andrew Hartley's Thunder Punch!
