Margarito will be 37-6 which really isn't the most sparkling record. Marg has beat some really good fighters but he lacks the huge name fights outside of the Cotto win. If he losses how far does he fall. I think he would fall very far. Not just because Mosley is old and hasn't look great in a while but simply because he isnt a huge name to the outside of the boxing world. It would be hard for him to get back in the mix against the top guys imo.
If Margarito losses tomorrow how far does his stock fall?

A little farther than it did against Williams. He picked up the pieces 2 fights later, but with another loss... he'd have to win big probably 2 or 3 more. -
i think his stock seriously decreases. if he loses only route back to being the welterweight kingpin is beat williams, then clottey, then cotto. a win against those 3 names would rank him as top dog in da division. the he could possibly smash berto and unifyComment

margaritos stock is like the y2k bubble if you know anything about business....it is only a temporary high...whether he collapses tommorrow remains to be seen but i guarantee it will not remain this consistent high thru the next 2 years....i advise all investors to sell nowComment

I smell a very fishy looking upset tomorrow. Something like Pavlik/Hopkins. Margarito just standing in front of Mosley as Shane just tee's off on him.Comment

It wont really change for me, unless he gets beaten badly or something. Margarito is what he is...he has his good points and his bad points, just like any other fighter. hes a hell of a fighter, but he certainly isnt undefeatable.
I think Mosley will make Margarito look bad at times, but Marg probebly will still be able to outwork/outfight Mosley and end up with the win. be prepared for people to complain about how 'bad' Margarito is, even though Mosley is still a very talented and top level fighter.Comment
