dumbest quote so far..hopkins didnt do much at 160

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bernard Hopkins didn't do much at Middleweight, sorry to say.

It's only because of his work at 175 will he be remembered for being great.

this was by thegreat ali....................................who agrees that 20 title defense..unifing all the belts isnt doing much

While I completely disagree with that quote... if EVERYONE will go to the original thread and read... they are defending that point of view with valid observations... not just senseless talk.

            @ 160

            Biggest wins

            Glencoffe Johnson
            Felix Trinidad
            Oscar De La Hoya

            Losses

            Jermain Taylor (X2)
            Roy Jones Jr

It's true, whatever way you spin it. Two wins over smaller fighters than him and one who went on to lose something like 8 of his last 10 fights is not the resume of a GREAT fighter.

He had close fights with taylor and calzaghe, so those losses shouldn't hurt his career one bit. He was competitive with roy, and that wasn't a prime bhop roy fought in my opinion. Bhop got better with age in my personal opinion.

Were they comparing B-Hop's work to Calzage, because on JC's resume there is no win even close to the distruction of a prime Trinidad!!
