Margarito-Cotto Winner, Could Get Manny Pacquiao

At the recent fight week press conference for Antonio Margarito vs. Shane Mosley, Top Rank's Bob Arum touched on a possible future clash at the end of the year. Ever since trainer Freddie Roach announced that Manny Pacquiao was requesting a fight with Margarito, the possibility of such a fight has been the chatter of the boxing world. Roach told veteran scribe Ron Borges that Pacquiao was very confident of being able to outbox Margarito, who is much bigger and much stronger. [details]

Really??? Let Pacquiao take berto's green belt, let us know he's legit at welter. It will sell like hell though.

I can actually see Pacquiao outpointing Tony. He's much faster with his hands and feet, and his stamina is amazing.

In order for Margarito to beat you, he has to be able to walk you down. If he can't, he's fucked.

Weve had back to back negotiations with Hatton and Pacquiaos camps and they have now finally closed the deal. Can we just take this one in first before we jump the gun.

I don't see it happening. I'd ask why Arum would want to sacrifice Pacquiao like that, but the answer is money. But I don't think Freddie would allow it to happen, at the very least he'd take no part. Antonio Margarito would slaughter Manny Pacquiao.

This kind of talk is how they hope to lure him out.

when oscar de la hoya decided to take on pacquiao, margarito lambasted the golden boy calling him a coward for fighting a much smaller fighter... now we hear him considering a fight with pacquiao... what does that tell you about him?
