That he will have to kill himself to lose those pounds. If you are in shape, you should be only 7-8 pounds above your weight a month from the fight, not 14 pounds. Rehydrating is different from dehydrating!!!!!!!!

You don't start dehydrating a month before the fight. Hell I lost 10 pounds sometimes the night before to wrestle in high school at 138. If he weighs 158 in the ring, then that's probably what he weighs about 4 days before the fight. Dehydrating is very unhealthy for you and you sure as hell don't train for a month while completely drained.

And he still puted on a decent fight against a natural LHW. Tito was never over weight, he dont smoke he dont drink, thats why he was a stamina horse. I have never recalled seen Tito tire in the ring.

Cotto drinks worst than Hatton, he needs to stop that!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a story that he was drinking in Vegas 3 days before the Margo Fight(Not t make a argument about this, he got beated fair and square)!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet Cotto is more talented and will finish his career off better than both of them. Cotto doesn't need to prove anything to anyone from PR. I hate how people have to live up to their country and be accepted. Cotto will never be on the level of Tito in the eyes of Puerto Ricans. He is not all PR this PR that, purists that refused to promote himself to anyone outside of PR. He is a quiet guy that goes about his work that has made himself likable to Americans and people all around the world. Cotto is to good for Puerto Ricians to think that they have something all to themselves that hes just an average guy and no one else can touch. He packs the house better than Tito and his resume when its all said and done will be better than Titos. Cotto will be the Oscar De La Hoya of PR. If PR people can't accept that move on to someone else.

14 pounds, and for a guy Cottos size he should not allow himself to balloon to 170 like he did, I dont care if you are taking a lay off.

Thats the difference from good fighters and great fighters!!!!!!!!!!!

it is tru what you said. but berto came to the ring at 160 he still can make the weight. plus puerto rico boxing commision they always got a check on their fighter to make the weight. they have mandatory weight in. so i think he should be fine. but what it look like that he is a part time fighter. he only trains when he know he is going to fight
