most great boxers dont get tatoos, bernard hopkins, roy jones, shane mosley, oscar de la hoya etc.

Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins are light years beyond Mosley and De La Hoya. To even put Mosley and De La Hoya in the same cetegory of Jones and Hopkins, is an insult to Jones and Hopkins.

I think Top Rank tried to mold him into a clean cut guy when they saw him as their cash cow because when he started his career his wore earings and had some weird haircuts with "lines" and stuff and all of a sudden after he began appearing on HBO it was all gone but Cotto comes from a humble background so this more like the real Cotto IMO.

Calm the fuck down, it's just ink. As an actual body modification artist I can say I've tattooed equal parts badass and equal parts *****. And I'm pretty sure Cotto has proven himself to be a "badass" in the past. 1 loss means nothing, half of you guys would get taxed by Gomez.

To me, you calling it "male makeup", got my attention. I felt like you were disrespecting my profession.

And actually as a professional I've found it to be quite the opposite, the people who come in and get tribal work, kanji work, and other "flash" designs, are the ones who want to be considered badass.

The people with full sleeves, back and chest pieces, etc... are the ones who've really fallen in love with the art. That's why they're covered. It's not a "badass" attitude at all.

I won't get into order, personally I think Hopkins' legacy is far greater than Jones'.

But Mosley's legacy is not that great, he beat Oscar in the first fight, most think he lost the second, and he beat a shot Vargas twice, Mayorga, and Collazo. And Oscar was never really that great to begin with, he lost every meaningful fight of his career and just got dominated by a midget.

Jones and Hopkins' legacies are far greater than Shane's and Oscar's.
