Pacquiao came out swinging with an official statement that hit back at Ricky Hatton, and Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions. After weeks of negotiations, the proposed Pacquiao-Hatton showdown for May 2 was officially "dead" on Wednesday after Manny refused to a sign the fight contract. Pacquiao was unhappy with the terms and felt that he deserved more than the 52-48 split being offered. He originally wanted a 60-40 split, but later brought his demand down to 55-45. [details]

I gotta side with Pac on this one...he is the man right now...he should call the shots until someone comes along and knocks his ass out....but until then..he is the shot caller...to say Hatton deserves the bigger cut is plain asinine...I mean there is no other way to describe it…but I still say this fight goes down…you all wait and see….Pacquiao came out swinging with an official statement that hit back at Ricky Hatton, and Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions. Here we go with Peso Pacquaio again!!!!! I know that GBP and Oscar are a bunch of greedy MOFOs, but Pacquaio needs ti come to his senses and sing that 12 Mill guranteed with the 52-48 split, I understand that Hatton is not on the level of Pacquaio fighting and Legacy wise, but drawing wise and bringing money he is if not way better!!!!!!!!!Pacquiao came out swinging with an official statement that hit back at Ricky Hatton, and Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions. Gotta disagree with you on this one, Pac maybe the p4p #1 but he dont bring anything close(in terms of $$) to what Hatton brings......I gotta side with Pac on this one...he is the man right now...he should call the shots until someone comes along and knocks his ass out....but until then..he is the shot caller...to say Hatton deserves the bigger cut is plain asinine...I mean there is no other way to describe it…but I still say this fight goes down…you all wait and see….
He's being greedy and selfish, lets see him make some moves and $$ like what was being offered, if he can with another fighter, then i'll shut the *** up about itComment

THE THING IS THE FOLLOWING....
PAC DESERVES TO BE PAID!!
BUT WHO IS WILLING TO PAY HIM WHAT HES ASKING???
thats the question.
Winky wright & paul williams deserve to be paid more...BUT.
THE PEOPLE THAT WRITE THE CHECKS DOESNT THINK THE SAME WAY.
1 + 1 = 2

I think the last paragraph of that article pretty much described the situation regarding this whole saga perfectly. Pacman ****ed up, he should have signed, but he didn't, now him and Hatton have to both take smaller paydays elsewhere.Comment

Good **** Pac. **** GBP. A Pacquiao/Mayweather showdown would be a better fight, and probably do just as well financially as a fight with Hatton. Who really believes that Hatton would make it past the third against Pac? NOBODY!!!!Comment
