That's why stylistically I think this is still the more intriguing fight out of that triangle.

Cotto pressures you, but manages to box you at the same time. He doesn't just go for the kill. Floyd's defense is one of brilliance, but he hasn't fought a style like Cotto's. Some would say it's similar to Castillo as far as how he used his jab and cornered Floyd where he was actually landing flush shots.

Floyd would definitely catch Cotto, but Cotto would also be landing shots on Floyd. I have no doubt about that, Floyd isn't invisible.

Post the Hatton fight he had earned 2 big paydays. If he's the draw he claimed to be, a Cotto fight wouldn't have been big money like an Oscar or Hatton fight, but what fight is?

People talk about PBF having dedicated fans what about Miguel Cotto? This guy has been out on his feet & danced the Lambadda on numerous occasions by lesser fighters then PBF at 140. Arum even kept Cotto from PBF at JR Welter. Zab bust Cotto face open to the point Cotto went desperate & low blowed Zab 2x? Zab had to low blow PBF from stopping the beat down.

Cotto has NO defense & cannot adapt in the ring to pressure effectively to adjust his game & win (MARGARITO) If Cotto was even in the league of PBF skill & ring generalship ship wise he would of known to fight a different fight instead of moving & biking around then laying on the ropes & getting hammered.

In my opinion PBF would fight Cotto the same way he did Gatti because even though Cotto is way better than Gatti they have an almost equal offensive fight plan & get hit the same way EASILY! IF Cotto would have beat Margarito then De La Hoya, I'm sure PBF would be coming back like he's doing for Pacquiao because he would been P4P#1 but Cotto couldn't hack the pressure & QUIT. He's always been overrated in my book. Good but not great.

Ok I got to comparing Cotto to Gatti then I just stopped reading. For a start you are using Margarito as a gauge when Floyd doesn't even have the balls to step up for $8M and fight him so that one goes out the window. I've already admitted Floyd would kill Cotto at 140 so big deal, everyone knows his chin was **** there. It's not great at 147 either but he's far better at 147, everyone can see that.

Also Cotto fought SSM, who's a tough fight at this stage.

He made Judah quit and gave him a beating, end of that discussion.

Cotto had the balls to get in with Margarito. Hit him with everything, infact got so exausghted hitting him square in the head he got worn down himself.

I can't believe people are cussing on Cotto, comparing him to Gatti. He lost one fight against the baddest man on the planet and people claim he is average. If Cotto had beaten margarito he would have been the best in the world.

Nah you're right, I think Floyd IS great.

I'd just like to see him fight a Cotto or Margarito or Pacquiao to see where he stands against what people today consider the best guys in his division. Those 3 are more than worthy IMO.
