So who will be able to entice Floyd Mayweather out of retirement?

Neither would budge in negotiations with each other, therefore the fight is OFF. Manny and Ricky surely feel confident that they can lure Floyd Mayweather back from retirement for a megu bucks fight. But who would be more appealing to Floyd for a return bout? Manny Pacquiao or Ricky Hatton.

PBF already KO'd Hatton in a fight that wasn't that good. A PBF-Pac fight has way more cred.

definately Pac...unless PBF can make more money fighting Hatton. He already knocked hatton out...why fight him again unless the money is fantastic? Hopefully if the fight with Pac is made, Manny will realize that he is gonna have to give a little to get PBF. I dont care if PBF has been idle for a year or not, NO WAY he lets pac get a bigger piece of the pie. so i say, STFU and make the fight already.

I think Manny would be understandable with Floyd and be willing to give up a little if he can secure that fight. Floyd was P4P when he retired and he's still undefeated. A comeback fight would be huge dollars. Manny must just be frustrated in dealing with Golden Boy. He feels he got screwed in negotiations with Oscar; he whoops Oscars ass and now they are trying to get over on him in negotiations with Ricky. It's the principle of the matter that's at stake here. He feels he deserves more than Hatton and rightfully so. On the other hand, Mayweather KTFO of Hatton and has not yet lost a fight. I think he'd be willing to do 50-50 or even 45-55 in favor of Mayweather.

A Hatton rematch at 140, in a 16ft ring, with 8oz gloves, and an unbiased ref, in front of Hatton's hometown crowd might be entertaining, but the outcome would still be the same.

A Pac fight would be a lot more entertaining, and Pac has a chance, albeit small. Easily Pac.

Now if Cotto could win the Marg rematch (assuming he gets by Shane,) and then get one more big win, like Williams. That's the fight I'd like to see.

I'm with you, Cotto vs Pacquiao all the way; but Cotto is destined to get smashed again later in the year.

I think you guys are wrong, whilst a Pac fight is what everyone wants to see, it's also a harder fight for PBF, one he is in danger of losing. If he fights hatton again he argueably makes more money and gets an easy knockout. As he said himself, he's not in boxing to prove who's the best. Hatton is easy money and that's what Floyd likes.

I think if he wanted to fight Hatton again, that fight would have been made by now. He probably would have come back to fight him if Hatton beat Pac, but that fight aint happening. There is no reason to fight Ricky right now. Hatton hasn't done anything since his check hook, ring pad headbutt KTFO at the hands of Mayweather.

why would pbf fight hatton again? he already KTFO hatton and i dunno if he could improve his performance. plus hatton would have to give pbf a 70-30 purse split.

some of you forget that floyd retired and didnt rematch dlh because of the purse split right?
