Vargas' prime died at the hands of Felix Trinidad's left hook early in round 12 back in 2000.

        Flat out wrong.

If he had his prime knocked out of him, how was he able to KO his next two opponents before facing Oscar?

Now I'm not saying he was in his absolute best prime ever, but he wasn't the Fernando Vargas of 2006.

Did you watch those two fights?

He was dropped and seriously wobbled by light-hitting Wilfredo Rivera and the stoppage was pretty weak. It was a horrid, horrid performance.

And sure he stopped his next opponent...did you know that was his sparring partner? Or that the guy ******? And still hurt Vargas?

Come on, man. There was a major difference between pre-Tito Vargas and post-Tito Vargas.

I will say this...he was horrendous in 2006. You're right about that. The Oscar beatdown didn't help and neither did McDonalds. But he was a ruined fighter when Oscar fought him or, at most, clearly not the same.

Are you going to tell me the Vargas that fought DLH was the same that fought Shane?

Like I said, he wasn't absolute best prime, but he wasn't absolute **** either. He gave a very, very good showing in that fight and up until that left hook landed at the end of the round, he was in the fight.

Had DLH slaughtered him, I'd agree, but Vargas put it to DLH pretty good as well. I'd still consider that part of his prime, even though slightly past it.

It was the homemade tortillas, enchiladas, all that great home cooked Mexican food.

They're killer on maintaining a trim, slim figure.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. Read my second post. Absolutely Vargas got worse from 2002 to 2006. What I was saying was responding to your post that Vargas was in his prime when he fought Oscar. That's false.

Slightly false imo. The version of Vargas that fought DLH is better than the DLH Mayweather fought.
