Kessler-Larson Offer Upped, Skelton vs. Dimitrenko?

Russian heavyweight Dennis Boytsov takes on Israel "King Kong" Garcia for the apparently vacant WBA I/C title on the undercard to Chagaev vs Drumond on February 7 in Rostock. Exactly what happened to the previus champ, Taras *****ko, isnīt known. Also on the Rostock bill is super middleweight Eduard Gutknecht who faces American Rubin Williams in what will be a good test for 15-0 German champ. Featherweight Marcel Meyer****s, from nearby Wismar, is also on the bill.

Good to see Boytsov is fighting another stiff who was ko'd in his last fight. What a shock considering he is managed by German Klaus-Peter Kohl

I'm not happy with that opponent either.

Universum usually get these guys on short notice - an indication of their lack of planning ability - so their possibilities are limited.

His opponent should have been selected in earlyto mid-December, so they could have gotten somebody decent and given Denis time to prepare for someone more difficult.

Like Alexeev, Denis may not be ready when he finally fights someone who will give him some adversity.

I think it's part of Universum's strategy to make sure opponents for their fighters don't have more than a few weeks to prepare. You're right, it may backfire when he fights somebody who has the time to prepare and has the skills to give him a good fight.

Boytsov is still a boy and has a lot to learn. It's a sham that he's getting a fight for a kind of title, but he doesn't need to step up his competition just yet.

He's about five to six years younger than contenders like Povetkin, Haye, and others.

2 lines is more than kessler deserves.
