I have a feeling it's gonna be in Vegas though.
Vegas = more money. It's as simple as that. MSG is a nice big stadium, but no way in hell does it generate more money than Vegas, unless you are talking about a pointless headcount. History has shown that if a fight is held in Vegas it is usually better promoted, and does better PPV numbers than in Vegas. And yes I do consider it somewhat odd that a fighter who was knockedout and thrown off their pedastool, is now fighting infront of a hometown crowd before the PR day parade. In all honesty I dont that will be fair. Be that as it may I doubt it happens in NY it will probably head to Vegas where the money is at.

That's not remotely true. First of all, where the fight is doesn't really have much bearing on the PPV numbers.

Second, its better when you target a certain demographic. Cotto/Marg 1 didn't sell that well. It did very good PPV numbers but there were a little over 10,000 people there.

Now if Mosley/Margarito was in Vegas as opposed to L.A you really think it would have drawn 18,000 people? I'll answer it for you, the answer is no ****in way.

Now, if Cotto/Margs 2 was in MSG, it would probably sell out. That's around 20,000 people. Nowhere in Vegas would the fight do as well. Cotto vs. Street Bully nearly sells out the Garden, he's just a massive draw there. And if they didn't do it at MSG they should do it in L.A where Margarito is becoming a bigger and bigger draw. The fight actually does worse in Vegas when you have two regionally popular stars which is what Cotto and Margs are. You have to play to your most popular audience which would be either NY or LA.

Who can blame Cotto for postponing his beat down. Thats just straight up Cotto hate.

Cotto went to the west coast and took on "the most feared man in boxing" when noone else ranked as highly as Cotto would have done, Cotto was the champ and regarded as one of if not the best WW in the world at that time yet he went to Vegas and gave Marg his big opportunity so I don't understand the big deal if Marg returns the favor and goes to the east coast for the rematch?

cotto went to las vegas to fight in tony's turf and cotto being the champion. so if margarito loses to mosley the only thing he will be bringing to the rematch would be the win over cotto, but no tittle or anything else
