Campbell had 5 years of boxing experience.
Casamayor had 15+ years of boxing experience.

Casamayor beat diego Corrales in his next fight.
That is more than likely the actuality of the situation. People fail to understand that most of what commentators spew out is press release jargon than actual journalism.

I don't understand why Casamayor would be taking fights on short notice, the show was promoted by his people. If he took the fight on short notice, he obviously signed a contract and accepted all consequences as a result of entering the agreement.

And by "taking the fight on short notice" they may very well have meant that he had accepted this particular opponent, but had the date reserved for him. I think that is far more believable.

As Merchant said, "This is a Grand Canyon leap in class for Campbell."
Whatever man,I don't care if you believ me or not.

which is why Campbell took a prime Casamayor to a close fight that could have gone either way despite only having boxed for 5 years

True, but all his career he has been inconsistent and inactive.I'm gonna pick Funeka to KO him just cuz he is old and inactive and inconsistent. He had a good performance with Diaz,I''ll give him that.
