I wouldn't even give him a chance agaisn't cintron now why would we think he has a chance agaisnt a beast like margarito.....
Hey bro, this is boxing... both fighters has 2 fists~throwing them. Have you not seen a smaller guy beat a bigger guy before? I'd give every boxer who's got courage a chance to beat a much advantageous opponent. That is why in boxing we have the word "upset", and 2008 has many of it. That's why I often choose a skilled underdog's side.

And about what you said about Pacquiao beating an "Old DLH(35)". So what if for example Pavlik beats Hopkins(44) you'd probably say it's because Hopkins is old?
Marquez(35) beat Casamayor(37). I just hope age would not be used again as an excuse. DLH was a great fighter... it was just not his night.

"why would we think he has a chance agaisnt a beast like margarito?"

Just like when Sugar Ray Leonard beat Hagler... He also believed he could beat Tyson.
    But who knows...Really?

paquiao will never ever fight at 147 again! The dlh fight was a set-up and promotion for hatton vs manny! Manny was introduced to the casuals in that fight! What do you know golden boy vs top rank once again! and dlh making even more money promoting than he does fighting! You guys need to think outside of the box sometimes. Manny will never fight at 147 again! the exception maybe floyd, but i bet they try to make it at 140. Any top 5 ww would crush paquiao! paquiao would never hear the final bell against any top 5 maybe even top 7 or 10 ww. Boxing is a ***en circus act now a days!

its a shame for margarito entertaining a thought of fighting pacman. margarito should fight paul williams.

but wait until larry merchant says it.

          it will happen...

I find the possibility of this match-up intriguing. A lot of people think that Margarito would be picking on the "smaller guy". Manny is 5'6" 1/2 but Cotto was only 5'7". Williams is 6'1' with an almost 10 in. reach advantage and nobody was reprimanding him as "picking on the smaller Margarito". And DLH is only an inch shorter than Margarito.

The difference here is that this time it's the Pacquiao camp that's calling out Margarito and not the other way around (I think it was DLH camp mentioning Pac first). So in terms of someone picking on someone else, it's not the bigger guys camp that's doing it.

Anyway the question in boxing isn't size, it's weight. MP is trying to make a bigger name for himself at 147. I guess once you break the eggs, you gotta make the omelet. I think it's a mistake calling out Margarito but it's his choice. If you want to be fighting at 147, Margarito is perceived to be the man.

I definitely give Pacquiao a chance on this one. If he can keep from being hit flush and fight on his toes, he may be able to escape with a decision. Knocking out Margarito is out of the question. If he gets caught by Margarito, it's definitely over.

Either way, if talks continue, Margarito will definitely be depicted as the villain. That's an image that he's used to. This isn't the best scenario for a welter weight fight but I'd definitely watch it.

Great fuc*ing post. Most people don't think the way you do and only see one road. I hope Margarito does not end up fighting Pacquiao, it's insane to even write those words. You hit it right on the nail.

If Marg was killing himself to make weight, then he wouldn't be getting stronger as the fight goes on. That should be common knowledge??
Marg aint killing himself to make weight. Dude just stays in good shape. Can't hate him for that. He makes weight and fights hard. That's all that matters....

I would love to see someone get to his body for a change.
