Williams fought Phillips for interim WBO title. WBO doesn't allow a fighter to have 2 titles at in different weight class and also Phillips wasn't allowed to fight fot his IBF titie.

So I guess Quintana outboxing Williams in their first fight and winning a unanimous decision meant nothing. The score is tied right 1-1. I'm not saying Margarito doesn't need to avenge his loss against Williams, he defintely does. But, you can't fault the guy for trying to make his money at the highest point in his career. I believe that Margarito's fight with Williams was the toughest of his career. It would be a great risk to fight Williams.

It's not. Seeing as how a fight with Marg and pac would not happen in may.

Marg will have a rematch with Cotto around the same time. Unless Cotto loses to Jennings which is unlikely.
