Hello. I joined this forum because I had a question that I thought the users here could answer. You see, I am fifteen years old, and I am a student of Shaolin Kung Fu. I done grappling, kicking-oriented arts, and now kung fu, but I would really like to improve my hand work. Of course, my mind jumped to boxing.
I am too busy with school and kung fu to do anything right now, but over the summer, I will have lots of free time. I wanted to know if the users here knew of any boxing training camps, maybe in Mexico or Puerto Rico or something, where I could train. They would have to accept foreigners and students new to boxing. I would prefer if I could live there and train many hours a day. At least four preferably.
Is there any "holy grail" of boxing camps? I know that in Shaolin, if a student wants to improve their skills quickly, they will often visit China to train at the Shaolin Temple or one of the surrounding schools. Is there a place like this in boxing? I know Ignacio Beristain is famous for running a great school, but from what I've gathered, it doesn't seem like the place for foreign beginners, does it?
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear your responses. Thank you in advance.
EDIT: I'm terribly sorry, I just realized that I had double posted this. I don't want to take up room on your forum, so if anyone wants to tell me how to delete this post, that would be great. Also, oyu can reply in my first post entitled "Summer Boxing Camps"
