    Marvdave.....

Curry at his best, was a perfect fighter. Something went wrong with him, mentally, somewhere along the line.
I have never seen one guy go from being so brilliant against excellent comp., to being so beatable, in such a short period of time.
perfect might be a stretch, but your right he was good. I'm biased becuase of all the crap he spoke of my man Hagler. I think what happened to him is he finally got hit on the chin and he didn't like it. After Honeyghan he was never the same.

His chin was not a problem. In fact, he took a lot of shots against Honeyghan.

I consider Honeyghan-Curry a bigger upset than Douglas-Tyson.....because I thought Curry was unbeatable.

Think of the way Curry easily handled Starling (a truly excellent fighter) the second time.....or the way he completely smashed Milton McCrory.
He was fighting at an unbelievable level.

i'm sounding like a broken record becuase I said something similar on a tyson thread. not neccesarily a bad chin..but a part of his heart was taken. he never seemed to have the confidence or will to fight after that.

ps- I love Starling..what a great fighter he was

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but probably the best one-punch KO I ever saw was by a woman. Ann Wolfe over Vonda Ward - check it out if you ever get a chance.

                  Best ONE Punch KOs ever?

One more excellent one punch KO:
                  Sugar Ray Robinson - Gene Fullmer - 2 (1957).

Lopez's KO of Carballo was pretty brutal... Lopez looks like he graces in the ring he gets in close and and unleashes a huge right hand on the chin that drops Carballo and spins him around and he falls on the side of his face.

yeah I saw that one also. SHE got KTFO. WTF was Ann doin after she startched Vonda? Looked like she was trying to hump some invisble bull dyke in the ring. I swear all those female "Boxers" are gay.

But yeah brutal one shot KO
