On a serious side note, wouldn't it be great if boxers actually helped other boxers out these days? Like when Joe Frazier gave Ali money to support his family when he was exiled from boxing? Or like McClellan or Taylor fans who still donate a couple bucks whenever they can?

God knows nobody else is looking out for these guys once they're retired. ****, too many of them ain't even looking out for them during their careers.

Oh yeah, picking out one fighter is rather pathetic. But this thread, and Castillo fighting last night made me think about it even further. People know Jose is only fighting for the damn money, if only someone would step up and help his ass out.

(Now watch the thread starter say Floyd should be doing this as well, seeing as Floyd fought Jose twice...........)

btw: oscar has given hundreds of donations while mayweather has been throwing it away to random people.

Mayweather donates, are you dumb? Read up on things before you post because he helps under privileged kids from his area and has given to charities in the past... I once even saw a video of him donating some cash towards a boxing gym for kids.

Anyway what is it to you what he does with his money... hes got it he should be able to enjoy it, trying to use Oscar as a example saying he donates and Mayweather doesn't... of course he does, just because he throws it around (yeah, which is ******) doesn't mean he doesn't give money to charities, and how do you know that he hasn't donated to Hernandez? Exactly you don't.

Those were the 2 major events, him being sued for failure to make weight, and having to fight Hatton for damn near nothing. I thought that was punishment enough for poor Jose, having to fight Ricky in that condition.

Other than that, there's been a lot of things reported, but nothing I can state to be completely positive.

He wasn't a wilder spender or anything either.........
