        No, your Nationality is determined by what Country you were born in, or what Country you become a Naturalized citizen of, in that's it. Not what Country either of your parents were born in.

        Antonio Margarito is a Mexican-American. Mexican because his parents were Mexicans and Mexico is now his adopted Country. American because he was born on American soil. It's not rocket science, it's simple **** really.

          This is a hyperbole, it doesnt matter, when you are born in america, you are american. we locked up japanese americans in camps, it was wrong, but they were still americans. Thats like "if citizenship was so important, why were blacks treated so badly up until the civil rights movement" AGAIN because it was a wrong committed against americans. but AMERICANS nonetheless.

                  specially in a case like margarito where he never got to really live in the states
                  if margarito is american why is there a mexican flag next to his name in boxrec and wikipedia? i mean juan diaz and luevano both with mexican parents are considered americans yet margarito isnt
