Ok if you can't accept the "it could of gone either way approach" and if you say "winning is winning if only by a point" then fine. Berto won by a point and is still undefaeted.

    SO THERE.

You are not a real fan. You're justs pompus, arrogant jackass who can't accept the real majority opinion of TRUE REAL FANS WHO SAY THAT THIS FIGHT WAS A GREAT CLOSE FIGHT THAT COULD'VE GONE EITHER WAY BY A POINT. You have a poll on that and I guarantee you the majority will say it was close and could've gone either way since you care about polls.

        1.......to you too.

          ahh.

berto was one of my top choices in american prospects, but with an ipressive record like that he had to beat the **** out of forbes, and the same with collazo. He didn't!! and last night was painful they gave him the decision, but it showed everyone his lack of talent. Margarito, Cotto, Mayweather jr., even Mosley (at his age) would take this guy apart.

Collazo won the fight even berto's dad knew his son had lost!! Look at him at the end of the fight, he looked so scared he thought berto was gonna lose that zero! He should have! Tooo ***n Bad.

oh please Berto's dad is irrelevant to the outcome of the fight

and there's the reference again 2 posts above.

if Berto's dad saying that is an indication of him losing the fight

then what about Collazo's corner saying before the start of round 12

"the only way you lose is if we get robbed"

^ I don't see how that's an accurate indication of how the fight was going, and I'd put it right along side Berto's dad's comments .. both relatively meaningless to the overall fight action

and even with the corner of Collazo's encouraging words that "the only way he'll lose is by robbery" Luis goes out and loses the last round of the fight.

no, not a robbery that's called choking

because Collazo blew it. sure rounds 11 and 12 are only two

but when the other guy's already won 5 rounds up to that point ... you can't afford to give up the last 2 rounds (and even Lederman gave 11 and 12 to Berto)

              and that's what Collazo did.

Im a jackass, because I dont bend over and agree with you? well so be it.I stick to my believes, wich are the majority, yes a lot of people think it was close, but they still give the fight to Collazo The majority of people here, knows and had Collazo winning. Theres no such it could gone either way, that BS. If a guy deserves to win he deserves to win. You dont see people saying well, the celtics won the seies but it could it gone either way, because the lakers played hard, or if is like in baseball game, you are winning 8-2 and because the other team hited a gradslam in the nineth the umpires decides to give the win to the other team, because they were great in the nineth, even tho' you have scored more runs!!!!!! Collazo deserve to win, End of the discussion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great fight, personally i scored it a draw. But the judge scoring it 116-111 for Berto needs to quit smoking crack.

while I'll agree with you regarding "could have gone either way" being BS im gonna have to stop there

as the scoring in boxing, is much more subjective then basketball or baseball (the other sports you named + compared boxing to)

I mean you said yourself .. a grand slam is 4 runs. If a team gets that, and the other team hustles it's ass off, but can only get 3 by the 9th inning, and only 3, they lose. effort aside 4-3 final score.

But as far as boxing goes, I mean who do you give the rounds to? because the guy's doing a good job of fighting off the ropes .. however he slows up and takes some pretty hard shots in the process

Boxing isn't so clear cut in scoring as you get varied scorecards from fight to fight especially in close ones a majority of the time (like this fight for example)

But the general rule of thumb I use is that if you don't KO someone whoever wins more rounds wins the fight .. deserving or not.

and on all 3 scorecards Berto won more rounds. Also there's an unofficial saying that the challenger has to "take the title" and I think Collazo did a poor effort on that part, especially in losing the last 2 rounds of the fight.

so no I don't think Luis is "more deserving" of anything. He officially lost more rounds on all 3 scorecards and unofficially didn't "take the title"

how can anyone say Collazo is more deserving when he did that? ^

I guess you could say the judging is s*itty, and Luis corner said before round 12 that the only way he loses is by robbery .. and that was before the fight even finished

so why not protest, now that they got "robbed"
