Pacquiao not Interested on Hatton's new 52-48 OFFER

As of Friday night, Pacquiao said Hatton’s camp offered a 52-48 split, with the Filipino champ getting the slightly bigger share. Hatton’s camp had originally offered a 50-50 split, which Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, is also pushing.

“If they [Hatton’s camp] will not adjust [to 52-48], I will just look for someone else to fight with,” Pacquiao said.

(There was movement but it’s like they’re just trying to fool us). It was not substantial enough,” said the lawyer. t’s like moving the money) from the right pocket to the left pocket. They told us last night (Friday) they now want 52-48, we’re still looking at it if there’s going to be readjustment,” said Pacquiao in yesterday’s press conference for the 2009 Smart National Amateur Boxing Championship here.

“But they also say they could go up to 55-45, I might agree to that,” he added.

Pacquiao, who was accompanied by business manager Eric Pineda and Gacal, however, stressed everything will be up to his camp.

“All of the possibilities will be discussed in the next few days, maybe next week we’ll have a decision,” said Pacquiao.

I think 60-40 is fair. 55-45 can be good also.

50/50 or Pac can go fight the great Edwin Valero. Fighting infront of 8000 people at Mandlay and selling 200,000 PPV buys. Hatton can go to Wembley fight infront of 80,000 and make a ton of cash.

Atleast Hatton is willing to make a compromise no matter how minor it seems.

It's funny to me how boxers are able to ruin their chances of making millions of dollars with business decisions such as this. 50-50 means that Pacquiao is still making a ton of money, money that he won't make fighting anyone else.
