At the Robin Park Centre in Wigan, Lancashire, British lightweight champion John Murray (26-0, 14KOs) retained his title with an eight round stoppage over Lee McAllister (27-2, 5KOs) after catching the challenger with a left hook to the body. Khan would annihilate Murray, he has poor defence and gets hit too much. He has pretty slow hands which would allow Khan to easily counter him with speed and accuracy. Although Murray's punches are strong, they wear you down in later rounds and Khan would stop Murray before it got to that stage.Comment

Khan has so many haters because traditionally khan would have faced teh likes of Thraxton and Murray on the way up, but he has a glass chin, his camp know it and losing to barerra allows then to ride the cash cow a bit longer than a loss to Murray or thraxton.
