Joe Calzaghe: "Barrera, A Massive Test For Amir Khan"

Joe Calzaghe says that his countryman, lightweight star Amir Khan, will be in for a real tough night if Marco Antonio Barrera has anything left in the tank. Khan faces Barrera on March 14 at the MEN Arena in Manchester. The lightweight clash was announced a few days ago by Khan's promoter Frank Warren and shocked many in the boxing world. Barrera's two recent defeats were both by decision to Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, two of the best in the world. I wanted to put a bet on Barrera but I am not sure how much he has left in the tank. It's a tough fight to call considering Khan has fast hands and is substantially bigger than MAB, but the level of experience is drastic here. Interesting fight. I'd probably go with MAB though.

Barrera doesn't have a lot left in the tank, but he has more than enough in reserves to be able to dust off Khan. I don't see Khan lasting 6 with Marco.

Most of the boxing world want to see Barrera beat Khans ass.

But what sucks is that IF Khan beats Marco, The excuse was will be Marco was old anyways. If Khan is trying to prove anything at lightweight I would suggest options like Valero, Guzman, Katsidas, or the winner of Diaz-Marquez not of those fighters are in the category of being shot.
